Summer project
Guess what? I'm doing a summer English project about anything that interests me. So I'm doing a project about Malaysia. I choose Malaysia because it is interesting and i love it! I've already done three pages. The project lasts for six weeks so there is still time to work on my project. I just printed out some pictures of Malaysia on the web and I've just finished researching about things in Malaysia like the people, the history, the traditions and lots more. Any ideas?

There are so many things to talk about malaysia, the list is endless! malaysia is such a unique country.
may i suggest a few things?
1. malaysia achieved its independence without bloodshed, whereas India fought with tears and blood against britain to get independence. that's why merdeka day is quite special.
2. malaysia has many ethnic groups - malay, chinese, indian as well as aborigines and many other sub-ethnic groups.
3. malaysia is rapidly developing, you could talk about how the twin towers is the tallest building, KLIA is so modern and putra jaya (include lots of pictures here).
4. you could talk about our monarch system (sistem raja), where we have a king ruling malaysia, much like a queen rules britain :)
5. we have a BEAUTIFUL country - the beaches, the islands (like pulau tioman, pulau kapas), the sun, the forests (here pictures would be nice as well).
there are so many things to talk about malaysia, the list is endless! i bet the people in this country will be jealous reading how nice malaysia is.
good luck with your project mira! if you need help or suggestions just leave a comment. I bet kak dyanna could help as well.
wow! project.. best, best.. now I'm the one who's excited pula.
I think Mynn's ideas are good, there's a lot of interesting people, things, food and places in Malaysia.
Mira, I suggest you put loads of pictures, nice beautiful pictures for everyone to see and share the experience with everyone.. maybe family holiday pictures...
And maybe you could add a section for simple Malay phrases for your friends to learn our language. Something like
- Selamat Datang
- Selamat Pagi
- Apa khabar?
You know what Mira, my dad used to study in US when I was little (maybe about 6-7 years old), like your mom right now doing Phd, and he brought the whole family there... I had a friend from Africa and I taught her to speak Malay. I still remember it well, until right now. I was playing on a see-saw with her and I taught her to say, "Abah, nak makan nasi."
Hehehe....
Wow! amazing things about Malaysia guys although some of them I've found out from the internet, but I need more ideas and kak dyanna I wonder if you could take a few pictures of malaysia whilst you're there.
if you want, i have a few pictures of putra jaya from my previous visit in december last year.
i can pass you some picture of Penang Island and Zoo Negara (I just been there recently).. Mira ada email?
